How To Create Easy Beachy Waves

Hi, in this post, I’m going to tell you how to get my easy beach waves!

Your hair can be either freshly washed or for me, personally, the beach waves work best when my hair isn't washed for a few days. I comb through my hair with a very wide brush comb. I also spray in a heat protectant to make sure you limit damage to your hair. To add texture, I also add a dry shampoo to the roots and a little bit to the entire head of hair. It leaves a nice fresh scent, especially if I haven't washed my hair in a few days.

Once the products are in the hair, I do a final comb through and then grab about 2 inches of hair. I do 2 inches because I like a looser look. If you prefer smaller, tighter waves, then grab less hair. For me, I have a lot of hair, so the more hair I grab at a time, the less time it takes to do. On the left side of your head, you want to use your left hand to hold the hair and your right hand to hold the curling iron. Then you wrap the hair around the curling wand by moving the hair/hand back towards your head. It will take some practice to really get used to this motion. It can be a bit awkward at first. And then, do the exact opposite for the right side of your head. Hold the hair with your right hand and the wand with your left hand and curl the hair back towards your head around the wand. For the hair on the back part of your head, just use the hand that you feel is most comfortable. Don't forget to curl ALL your hair, not just the top portion. It really does make a difference. Your hair will look much fuller and thicker.

Once all your hair is curled, either comb the curls with your fingers for a more undone look or with a wide toothed comb for a more sleek look. I lightly spray in hairspray and you can also add a shine spray as well. I had to practice a lot before I actually mastered the beach waves.

However, now I can do this hairstyle rather quickly

I hope you enjoyed this post. I would love to hear your feedback and comments. Let me know if you have an easier technique. I'm always open to new and better ideas for this hairstyle.
